New Delhi, 5 March (IANS) The location of the Asia Cup was determined by the Asia Cricket Council (ACC) on 3 March. The meeting was held in Dubai. However, because of the fear of corona viruses, the meeting was postponed and the third week of March is now scheduled. The meeting would once again act as the decision-making stage on the future of this year's T20 tournament, taking the World T20 into account at a later date.
Speaking to IANS, a Pakistan Cricket Board official said that despite the March 3 meeting getting postponed, the situation remains the same as far as the PCB is concerned and only the ACC can take a call on the venue of the tournament.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had later declared a tournament in Dubai for the Asia Cup for both India and Pakistan. However, PCB had clarified that the venue for the tournament will only be determined by the ACC.
A BCCI official said that while the meeting will definitely have to be held before the ICC meeting, slated to take place at the end of the month, it could well be moved outside Dubai.
"The meeting will take place in a preliminary manner in the 3rd week of March, before the ICC meeting on March, 29. We are available for the meeting also in India if the situation requires," said the official.
Although this year Pakistan was granted the right to host the tournament, the BCCI clearly showed that if the event took place in Pakistan, the Indian guys could not play.
The President of the PCB also stated that the upcoming event was still hosted by Pakistan and added that the announcement made by the Cricket Body in India made him less troubled.
The PCB Chairman also announced that the upcoming event will continue to host Pakistan, adding that he has been worrying about Indian cricket body BCCI's comments. "The Asia Cup is being sponsored by Pakistan, but the event needs to be held at a neutral venue. The Indian team won't participate if we keep on hosting the event in Pakistan. What the BCCI says doesn't matter, "Mani added.
Mani also said that no foreign player had earned any additional monetary incentives to tour Pakistan. "In the past the PCB had to pay a further $25,000 to the players of the West Indies to induce them to move around the country but no other foreigner currently receives any other sort of monetary incentive," he said.
